INVESTIGA Y APRENDE: En este caso se trata de que busques información sobre la música de una comunidad en concreto. Para ello sigue estos pasos:

·                     Crea una presentación, que debe tener los siguientes contenidos mínimos:


1.            DIAPOSITIVA 1: Portada con el título del trabajo, el nombre del autor/a del mismo y clase.
2.            DIAPOSITIVA 2: MAPA con la ubicación de la comunidad.

ROCK AND ROLL




Rock and roll is a genre of popular music that originated and evolved in the United States during the late 1940s and the early 1950s, from African American music style such as gospel, blues, jazz,… and along with country music.
Rock and roll arrived at the time of a considerable technological change; the development of electric guitar, amplifier and microphone.
One of the first rock song was “Rocket 88”. It was recorded by Jackie Breston’s in 1951, and was one of the first songs to use a distorted guitar; it happened by accident. The guitar amp was damaged on the way to the studio, and when it was plugged made a sound that nobody had ever heard before.
Instruments: Electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, voice and drums.

Characteristics:
-         Dirty-Intonation; add emotion and personality to voice and instruments.
-         A huge cultural impact: lyrics talk about a wide range of themes such as: love, rebellion against social concerns, freedom,…
-         Simple chord and rhythm progressions.
-         Vocal and guitar improvisations.
-         Use of multiple analogic and digital effects: distortion, reverb, chorus, delay,…

COUNTRY STYLE

Session 4: Country
Originited at the beginnig of the XX century in Nashville, Texas. Country music comes from european inmigrants in North America (mainly irish and scottish people). This gender of music was mixed with other rythims and musics, like blues and spiritual music.
The radio station “Grand Ole Opry” was the first radio channel which started to live on the air country music. The radio station got an incredible success, and a huge amount of singers and country musicians moved to Nashville.

Characteristics:
·        Simple chord progresions
·        Lyrics about love and the life in the field.
·        Multiple voices.
·        Dancing is an important part.

Country music have multiple styles like, bluegrass, country folk, western, traditional country,…

Instruments: Banjo, bass guitar, voices, drum, piano, violin, dobro, dulcémele,… and so forth.

Is important to mention the clothing. Musicians, singers and dancers use an special country clothing, similar to cowboys´ style.

FOLLOWING THE BLUES!!!

SESSION 3: “Blues
Originated at the end of the 19th century in the “Deep South” of North America. This gender of music comes from work and spiritual songs.
The term “blues” often refers to melancholy and sadness. The lyrics talk about trouble experiences, bad luck, and regret.
·        Instruments used in Blues:
Guitar, Bass guitar, Piano, Harmonica, Drums, saxophone, Vocals, Trumpet, Trombone,…

·        Characteristics:
ü Is a cycling musical form in which repeating progression of chords.
ü Use a difference musical scale from the “pentatonic scale”.
ü Songs talk about religion, poverty, and lovelessness.
